  • Previous home details:  Bandit came with two brothers, Smokey (died Jan 2016) and  Keanu (died April 2024).
  • Companions: After Kye died in April 2020, Kizmet was moved to be with with Bandit and Keanu and into a larger enclosure where they had more room to explore. Kizmet died  in Mar 2022, leaving just Bandit and Keanu again. When Keanu died, Marwood was moved in with Bandit.
  • Personality: All the ring-tails are curious, showing interest but not fear when things are going on nearby.
  • Favourite Activity: Watching what is going on! Spending time outside, sunbathing!!!!!!
  • Favourite Food: In the early spring, they all love their dandelions, and some tree branches with leaves on them are always welcome! Their favourite treats are dried cranberries.
  • Wish list from staff: More enrichment devices that the lemurs can use - they don't have as much finger-agility as the other primates.

  • Previous home details:  Bob, Collette and Marwood came together. They were rescued from a zoo in Quebec that was closed due to abuse and neglect of over 200 animals.
  • Condition upon arrival:  They arrived at the sanctuary without names and, except for Colette, without complete tails. There was also evidence of them having suffered from frostbite at their previous home because of partially missing digits.
  • Progress: They have settled in well and make the most of the large space they share with various platforms, sleep boxes and branches to climb.
  • Favourite activity: They enjoy working with various enrichment devices to get at the treats. In the summer they love to sunbathe.
  • Favourite food:  Anything sweet but we limit their intake so they don’t gain too much weight.
